The Art of Paul M Pritchett

Paul Pritchett’ photo realism draws the eye to his skillfully created work. Paul has lived in Mission, Texas for the past three years teaching oil painting classes and painting his own work.  He loves painting western art, landscapes and portraits that look very real; Paul’s detailed use of light and shade reminded me of seventeen century Nordic paintings.

Originally from the Red River region of northern Texas, Paul now lives in the Rio Grande Valley where he enjoys the people, the weather and participating in art fairs like Edinburg’s Jardin del Arte.

To contact Paul regarding classroom or private painting classes please call (956) 897-9963

A bird does not sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.-Maya Angelou. La Vida Valle is where I write about "la vida" my life in the Rio Grande Valley. From this bi-cultural corner on the tip of Texas, I share my poems and spiritual and travel experiences. I also blog about the arts, nature and my passion for historic preservation and architecture. But most importantly, let's talk about "la vida" - living our lives - in a vacation state of mind. Contributions and comments are always welcome .

San Ygnacio Birding

Birdwatching Along the Rio Grande River

I relish memories of a recent visit to San Ygnacio, Texas and their bird sanctuary. An upriver, arid, hilly brushland, or chaparral country as referred by some, which covers most of the coastal plains south of the Edwards Plate...
